Caregiving is intended for a 90-year-old senior (172 cm, 75 kg) who lives with his wife in a family house in the village of Schleusingen (Germany). The wife is completely independent, takes care of the household, cooking, and laundry, and does not require care. The primary responsibility of the caregiver is exclusively the care of the senior. The senior moves only short distances with the help of a walker, and a wheelchair has already been ordered. He suffers from severe incontinence, wears diapers, and due to frequent bowel movements, they need to be changed approximately 3 to 4 times a day. At night, he uses double diapers. He is occasionally slightly confused and is undergoing treatment for skin cancer, with his health condition subject to change. The job duties include complete assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, transfers, diaper changes, toileting, and overall care of the senior. He is independent when eating. Night assistance is required only occasionally, approximately once every 2 to 3 days, mainly for providing a urinal or assistance with toileting. The senior cooperates during transfers, but moderate physical assistance is necessary. Household chores are not part of the main job responsibilities, as they are managed by the wife. The caregiver may assist her with minor tasks as needed, such as carrying laundry or occasionally watering the garden flowers. The caregiver is provided with a separate apartment with a private room, bathroom, kitchen, and internet, offering high comfort and privacy. Free time can be arranged with the family, and during time off, the caregiver can leave the house without any issues.

Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.
