Seeheim-Jugenheim, 64342 Germany
man 82 years 175 cm 65 kg
In the town of Seeheim-Jugenheim, there is an 82-year-old gentleman who requires assistance and support in daily life. He is 175 cm tall, weighs approximately 65 kilograms, and his overall health condition is rather weak. He moves around the house with the help of a walker, but needs guidance and support while walking due to an increased risk of falling. The gentleman suffers from a mild form of Alzheimer's, which manifests as forgetfulness and occasional moments of confusion. He is not aggressive, does not experience hallucinations, and has no tendencies to wander. His speech is sometimes less clear. He has a history of a heart attack, has gallbladder issues, and is being treated for diabetes, requiring insulin administration. Additionally, he suffers from urinary incontinence, wears incontinence briefs, and needs regular assistance with hygiene. A caregiver will assist him with daily personal care—bathing, dressing, getting up, and going to bed. Regular changing of incontinence aids, escorting to the toilet, and assistance with mobility are essential. The job also includes household care: cooking, shopping (the store is within a 15-minute walk), laundry, ironing, and cleaning. Once a week, a cleaner comes to the house to ease some of these tasks. An important part of the job is providing companionship—conversations, playing board games, watching television, or going for walks. When necessary, it will be required to accompany the gentleman to doctor or other appointments. Nights are not entirely peaceful, as he needs assistance approximately once or twice per night, either for a toilet trip or for reassurance. The gentleman lives alone in a family house with an area of approximately 150 m². A separate room is prepared for the caregiver, about 22 m² in size, equipped with a bed, wardrobe, and table. Internet access is available. There are no pets in the household.

Most job positions in Germany are based on Slovak/Czech trade licenses, though employment contracts are possible with some families. In Switzerland, work is conducted under Swiss employment contracts.
No, completing a caregiving course is not necessary for most job positions; however, it is important to have at least some experience from a home environment.
Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.
