We are looking for a caregiver for a 90-year-old lady in Laubene (Postal Code 87493). The lady weighs 75 kg, is 165 cm tall, and uses a wheelchair for mobility. She has mild Alzheimer's dementia and visual impairment. Her physical and mental condition is appropriate for her age, with partial incontinence. She moves around the house with a wheelchair and uses a wheelchair outdoors. She can stand only with assistance – she needs to be supported under the arms, but heavy lifting is not required. The caregiver's duties include managing the household, shopping, cooking, serving meals and drinks, creating a daily structure, and spending time together. Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and basic care is needed as required. Night assistance may be needed occasionally, depending on her current condition. The lady lives in a family house. Her granddaughter lives in a separate apartment upstairs. A private room is prepared for the caregiver with basic amenities – bed, wardrobe, table, chair, TV, and internet connection. Time off is provided 2 times a week in the form of half a day. A full-day break is not possible, but there is ample free time available by arrangement with the family.

Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.
