We are looking for a male caregiver for a 77-year-old gentleman (190 cm, 89 kg) from Hamburg (22143). The senior is paralyzed from the larynx down due to an injury and relies on a wheelchair. He can stand and turn during transfers but experiences nerve pain, so it is necessary to learn proper handling techniques and be cautious during manipulation. He is equipped with all necessary aids, including a hoist and stair lift. The caregiver's duties include assistance with hygiene, dressing, and toileting, including transfers and enemas, support during exercises and transfers to devices, supervision of medication every four hours, and changing the urinary bag twice a day. Additionally, cooking, maintaining the household, laundry, possibly ironing, and plant care are required. The caregiver will accompany the gentleman to medical appointments, therapies, and shopping, with an electric car with automatic transmission available. Responsibilities also include spending leisure time with the senior and providing companionship. Night work is required only occasionally as needed, and lifting is not necessary. A male caregiver with a good knowledge of German, an active driver's license, and a non-smoker (or smoking only outside the house) is required. Experience in caregiving is appreciated, and a kind and reliable approach is important. The caregiver is provided with a private room (12 m²) equipped with furnishings, a television, internet, and WLAN in a family house with a winter garden.
