We are looking for a reliable and warm-hearted caregiver for a lovely 87-year-old lady who requires assistance in her daily life. The client weighs 50 kg and is 159 cm tall. Due to a bout of pneumonia in April 2025, she is physically weakened, but she is mentally completely sound—without dementia, oriented in time, space, and to people. She speaks clearly, enjoys conversations, and can establish a pleasant relationship with the right caregiver. Initially, she may be reserved, but once she "clicks" with someone, she is open and grateful for the company. Currently, she has been assigned dependency level 2, but an application for its increase has already been submitted. The client suffers from heart failure, diabetes (treated with tablets), kidney failure, and severe hearing loss, which she compensates with hearing aids (with which she hears well). She has urinary and fecal incontinence and uses pads. Indoors, she moves with the help of a walker, and it is necessary to accompany her while walking. She goes outside only with accompaniment. Assistance is needed for getting up from a chair or bed. The client needs help primarily with personal hygiene, dressing, using the toilet, showering, and changing incontinence aids. She is independent when eating, but it is important to ensure adequate fluid intake, and shared meals are welcome. Household duties include regular care of the home—meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and occasional shopping (in agreement with the family). Medications are prepared, and the caregiver supervises their intake. Exceptionally, assistance is needed once a night for a toilet visit—not every night. The client lives in a two-generation house with her daughter, who resides in a separate apartment. There are dogs in the house, which belong to the daughter.

The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian.
