Care for an 82-year-old lady (70 kg, 160 cm) suffering from severe dementia (Alzheimer's). The lady is physically weak, requires assistance with standing up and walking, and uses a walker. She is completely disoriented (unable to determine time, place, or people), almost non-verbal, and unable to understand, even though she can hear. She is like a small child, incontinent (both urine and stool), and wears incontinence briefs. Despite the dementia, she is very kind and calm. Night assistance is not required. Caregiver Responsibilities: Assistance with hygiene (approx. 3× weekly), dressing, getting up, and going to bed. Regular changing of incontinence briefs and accompanying to the toilet. Assistance with meals, medication reminders, and shared dining. Household management – laundry, cooking fresh meals, cleaning, ironing, shopping (store by car approx. 5–7 minutes, by bicycle approx. 10 minutes). Joint activities – conversation, watching TV, board games, walks. Accompanying to the doctor and other appointments as needed. Providing companionship, support in daily life, and creating a daily routine. Additional Person in the Household: The senior lady's husband also lives in the house and requires only household assistance and help with hygiene until he recovers. The family lives nearby and can assist if needed. The daughter lives in the same house (upstairs), works during the week, and is home on weekends, managing her own household. Place of Work: 89547 Gerstetten (village) Accommodation: The caregiver has a private room (approx. 25 m²) with a bed, wardrobe, table, chair, TV, radio, private bathroom with shower, and a small kitchenette (unused). Internet is available. Time Off: As agreed with the family. Household Aids: Toilet chair, bathtub lift, and a bed assist device (located by the husband's bed).

Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.
