A caregiver is sought for an 85-year-old lady (48 kg, 160 cm) in the larger village of Dettenhausen (72135). The senior has dementia (Care Level 3, application for increase) and an increased risk of falling. She moves with a walker, more independently at home, accompanied outside. She needs assistance with dressing, hygiene, toileting, and eating, but tries to do what she can on her own. The senior is friendly and open, wanting to maintain as much independence as possible. She has weak vision and hearing, communication is possible with clear and loud speech. Nighttime assistance is needed twice for toileting. Medication therapy is prepared, and the caregiver's role is to oversee its administration. Caregiver duties: assistance with hygiene, dressing, eating, and toileting, cooking, laundry, cleaning, shopping (small ones on foot, larger with family), accompanying to the doctor, spending leisure time (company, garden, walks, games). The senior lives alone in a family house. Accommodation: private room with furnishings, TV, and WiFi. Time off by agreement. Start no later than 14.9., earlier by agreement.

The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian.
